Media Molecule owned by Sony has recently announced that little big planet 2 will not make it for Christmas (booo!). Officially the new ‘launch date’ is said to have moved to January 18th 2011. This is not cool, a feeling shared among the Molecule development team, but we are told this has been a necessary step to deliver a spectacular sequel to the LittleBigPlanet game series. A quote from the team said: "We've all been functioning like powered-up space ninjas and we are nearly there! Because we worship what we have made into our little sack-friends, and most of all we care for all our fans out there, we couldn't let you all get together until we knew we were giving you the greatest experience possible."

However, there was a silver-lining on the cloud of delay. The note also promises that, “we are going to find a way to offer more of you a flavour of LBP2 preceding to launch." Whether that means the game will be playable at some gaming events, or perhaps there will be a PSN demo on route, we are yet to find out.

Ever find yourself trying to connect to players across the world on FIFA before getting stuck at the team selection screen followed by a timeout? (If not I don’t know why your reading this...) Well sadly its down to FIFA requiring a few ports open via your router. Read your manual and it does tell you the ports required, but if like me you have misplaced it a copy would be helpful.
In a nutshell you need to acquire your PS3 / XBOX Local IP address and then 'open' all inbound & outbound ports for that IP. Obviously this can be a shitter if you know nothing about routers not to mention the huge variation in manufactures. If you are struggling with the specific port addresses you could always open all the ports for the PS3 / XBOX IP, since this isn’t a PC the risk of problems is pretty low.

Well it’s finally time for a new racer to hit the stores. Split/Second Velocity on first glance looks like a ‘Mario cart’ on adrenaline with a few airports to blow up here and there. The truth is it’s much more insane! Long gone are the days of firing the odd banana skinned missile at you foe, why not do the job properly and drop a Boeing 747 onto the track? Now I use the word track hesitantly, this is largely due to the fact 50% of the racing takes place, well everywhere, whether it’s an airport or docks there’s always something to keep you on your toes.
